Has anyone wondered why so many marketing firms create a advertising projects based on the notion that 50% of the people will see it and 50 people will probably not. I was wondering how can marketing firms decrease that probability. Well, last night when I was watching TV, I saw an add about Curves, the company which promotes healthy lifestyle. After the add, I saw an add about Harvey’s double-whatever burger and kept seeing more food related adds continously.
Now the purpose of that Curves add and its impact probably dropped down dramatically. Advertisment that compliment each other should not shown with each other. Time slots for adds should be catogorized depending what the add is about.
Recently, Phillips has produced TV’s that stops the ability of people switching adds. It will automatically freeze the commands until the add ends. Whoever thought of that idea must be a reall idiot. They should consider my idea of catogorizing adds on their subject matter.

Given the bewildering array of advertising, marketing, spin doctoring and subliminal messages we are bombarded with 24 hours a day, most of which we are consciously unaware of, how can we be sure any decisions (especially buying and voting ones) we make are actually rational?

I have this as a question on my review for my final exam in Internet Marketing and Advertising. It’s apart of a section that deals with electronic medical records. I have no idea what I’m even looking for. Is something like HIMSS considered one of these organizations? Or something like the Medical Information Bureau, MedPoint, or IntelliScript considered something like this? Any help at all is appreciated…

I am in the process of starting up a small business. There are 2 parts to my business. One is Business to Business (getting local wedding service providers to advertise on y web site) and the second is to get local area brides to visit my web site. I am in a bit of a catch 22 situation. I can’t get Brides to my site if I don’t have valuable information from local services providers. I cannot get local service providers to invest their advertising dollars in my web site because right now there are very few brides visiting my site…. How do I overcome this?

Two weeks ago I put a “For Sale by Owner” sign in my front yard and made about 40 flyer’s with pictures and a detailed description. The flyer’s are going (I’m unsure to who, probably my neighbors) but we have only had 2people come by. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips as to how to advertise and market more efficiently?
