I want to have a career where I help make ad campaigns, have artistic input, help decide how to market a product/company, etc.
I thought I should major in Marketing but I feel that is more finding out statistics for the consumer rather than being the person who makes the ad campaigns and stuff…
Can someone tell me what a career like this is called? And what majors would be good for a career like this?
I’ve read a couple of comments on another question where it seems every is saying you don’t need any degree to get into the casino business. I do have extensive customer service and marketing experience and I was planning to get my MBA and get into the casino industry. Would MBA give me a negative image when entering this industry? Has anyone entered a marketing/advertising position with an MBA? Please let me know.

I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I have tried to apply for a number of jobs online lately - jobs I found through CarrerBuilder and Monster - and instead of a regular online application, I have to wade through a series of questions, like some kind of marketing campaign. Has anyone else experienced this? Are these legitimate sites? Are the apps ever really looked at? Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Tell me how the entertainment industry and clever marketing ideas affect the way you eventually look at yourself. Does it or not? Why?
