What kinds of doors does the marketing minor open with a graphic design degree?
What would be the difference between minoring in Marketing or Advertising? Is advertising kind of wrapped into the actual graphic design degree?

I work for a letting agents and need some ideas on getting new properties on the market. I advertise in the local paper weekly and on 2 internet sites, I have recently had mail cards designed and some have been delivered. I have visited new home sites as well. Any other ideas or ways of advertising i can bring in more business.

The first answer is pretty precise but also keep in mind alot of these jobs are commissioned based and if you are not performing then your gone. Trying to find out if its a legit job

I amAura Reader,Spiritual healer,and i thought it would be nice to get some free marketing .

I have had this idea for over 2 years. I am not in the advertising/marketing profession, but I am a very creative left-handed Sagittarean with a plethora of ideas. I have new product ideas, as well as some television show concepts to be developed. Are there such things as consultants or freelancers in advertising? If I have a concept for a show, can I goto any media production company to pitch it??

You will not find anything as narrow and vocational as “advertising” or “marketing” at any of the U.C. campuses. If you are looking for a 4-year degree on which to base your first job, check the campuses of the California State Universities. The U.C. system is designed to be a true university, a school of higher learning. You’ll find academic programs there, not vocational programs. U.C. graduates expect to go further than a 4-year degree in advertising or marketing could take them: those who want a career in these fields know that it will take an MBA to accomplish what they want, and since they will pursue an MBA they will take something that they love and is much broader than marketing in their under-graduate years.
My apologies if this sounds high-brow, but that’s how the system works. If you want a 4-year degree that will help you get your first job, go to a CSU. If you want a true university education, understanding that you need an MBA to truly succeed in marking, knowing that your 4-year degree will help you more down the line, and that you’ll need more training in your first two months to catch up with the CSU grads, then go to a U.C.
