I have a letters from Santa business where parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc go on my website and can order a letter to the kid(s) in their life that is personalized to each child from Santa Claus and postmarked from the North Pole. I have the back end of my business completely in order; however I need some free or inexpensive ways to advertise this business. I will be utilizing press releases as I am teaming up with a charity and donating $1 from each of my letters to that charity. This will give me a little more newsworthiness with the press releases. My main target is women. Ad rates in women’s magazines are outrageous. Even my local newspapers and community publications seem to want an arm and leg for even for the smaller ads. I don’t have to focus locally as my service is available nationally in the U.S. I need ideas for online and offline marketing that will not break the bank! I really want to saturate with advertising the five weeks after thanksgiving. HELP!

Lets say I approached the marketing dept. of a local dealer and offered to advertise with magnetic signs on a car they allow me to drive. I drive across the two major counties in their demographic nearly 60 miles going to and from work, 5 days a week.
I need a new car but am hard up in the credit dept. I figure this would be a great way to score a ride. Realistic pitch or not?

I’m teaching for the first time an advertising intensive course. It starts on Monday the 18th and finishes on Friday the 22nd, from 5-8 p.m. (three hrs.). It should be very practical, make the students feel like if they were actually working in real life. It’s a small group of 10 students who just graduated college. It’s in a Mexican university.
The themes are:
1. What is advertising?
a. Advertising within the marketing mix
b. Types of advertising
c. Influence on advertising on the product’s cycle of life
d. Advertising’s effects
2. Advertising ethics
3. The Ad agency
a. Types, functions and responsibilities
b. Creative
I already have all the theory and some thought on possible practice excercises, but I need more ideas. They just told me yesterday that I’m teaching the course, and since is the first time I’m a little freaked out. Help!!!!

I would like to open an online tea shop focusing on fresh leaf teas. I have started a website as well as my business plan for an SBA loan. What is the most cost effective and economical way of marketing and advertising online? This would strictly be an online business.

How would the lives of adolescents be like if the television stops promoting a perfect image of women?
