Dissertation For Advertising/marketing Student?

I would like to collect some ideas from everyone on what kind of topic I should do for my final year dissertation?
I thought of doing ‘Credit Crunch effects on advertisers’. However, my lecturer told me that it is too broad, that I should choose 1 advertiser and concentrate. Is there any advertiser out there which is affected badly?
